1. If the server's operating system cannot boot normally but you need to back up data, you can choose to enter rescue mode to retrieve your data.
2. First, you need to log in to the control panel for further operations. (Please refer to the login method for accessing the control panel How to log in to the public cloud control panel)
3. Once logged in, click on "Rescue System" to proceed.
4. Select the type of rescue system: Linux or Windows. Choose the system type that matches the operating system of your current machine. After selecting the system type, a random password will be generated. Confirm your selection.
Please note that this password is temporary and will not be recorded in the control panel or backend. It is important to save the password on your own.
5.Wait for the machine to enter the rescue mode. You can check the progress in the tasks section or monitor the status of the machine. Once it enters the rescue mode, you can simply use the IP address to log in remotely.
6.In the rescue mode of Linux system, after logging in, you can use the "lsblk" command to view the system disk and data disks.
7.In the rescue mode of Windows system, you can view the system disk and data disks by following these steps:
- In the Server Manager, select "File and Storage Services."
Click on "Disks" to view the system disk and data disks.
8.The disk is shown as offline status. Right-click and select "Online" to bring the disk online. A risk warning message will appear. Confirm by clicking "Yes" to proceed.
9.After the disk is online, you can view it in the "Devices and Drives" section on your computer.
10.After completing the data backup, click on "Exit Rescue Mode" to exit.
